22 weeks and 5 days

You'd be forgiven for believing that I'd dropped off the face of the earth.  But no, we've just been busy packing and planning.  And it seems to be taking forever.  But then I'm always shocked to see how few days we have left before we leave.  Right now, the count is at 5!

In other news, my PGP (Pelvic Girdle Pain) is a real... pain.  I can't lie flat on my back and, once in bed, find it next to impossible to get up again to pee, which I enivitably have to do on a nightly basis.  The pain is mostly in my left buttock and, early in the morning, it radiates down the backs of my thighs.  And right now, as I sit here typing, the pain resides where it did while I was pregnant with Jake: between my legs.

Isn't pregnancy grand?!

Stephen always looks at me with sympathy and says: "well, you wanted another baby".  No, seriously, he says that jokingly and seems to really feel for me when the discomfort is bad.

On the bright side, my regular daily activities are rarely hampered by my PGP.  Walking, standing and sitting aren't normally a problem.  I am careful and slow in standing from a seated position though.

Then, while changing Jake's nappy the other day on the couch, he gave me a sharp kick in the stomach.  I can't say that it hurt but I immediately started to worry about Baby Girl.  She wriggles around a lot but, as any woman who's ever been pregnant will tell you, the movements aren't continuous, 24/7.  So all was quiet in my tummy for quite a while after the kick and I worried.  I lay down and poked and prodded my belly, begging her to kick me like her brother had.

Finally, what seemed like a lifetime later, she did.  And I breathed a sigh of relief.  Jake, at 28 months old, has such power and strength in his legs!

I'm tired and it's only 9:39pm.  Bedtime soon.

Did you try a 'brace' last time? Not sure how you would go about getting one in Canada, would it be free? Is your care free there?

I had PGP as well and it was AWFUL. There were days when I could hardly walk the pain was so bad and I remember crying trying to get out of bed to go pee.
You have my sympathy. Hope your feeling better soon.
