Higher Learning

Those who know me know that I love designing websites. It's a passion of mine.  And I'm always learning new things, which is good really, because there is a lot that I don't yet know.  Things develop so quickly that I can't keep up.  But it's not just that, it's also that there are some things that are considered old news that I still don't fully understand.

It's for this reason that I'm considering taking a course at the local college. It looks like they have exactly what I'm looking for and the cost is minimal.

I want to do this for several reason:

1.  At the moment, we make a very modest income from the internet, mostly from sites designed by me.  But we could be making more, if I could just get past a few hurdles.  I need to fill in the blanks where my knowledge and understanding are missing.
2.  At the moment, I'm a Mum.  That's it.  And although that is hugely satisfying to me, I also miss bringing in an income and feeling like I make a difference.  (Before you mention it, I know that I am already doing an important job - and believe me, it's FULL time job - but I want to make a bit of cash too.)
3.  I rarely leave the house and that is getting me down.  Why don't you bring the kiddies to park, Nicola, you ask.  It's January.  We are smack-dab in the middle of a Canadian Winter.  No, thank you!  Anyway, Jake is hard to control and Abby likes to hear her own voice.  I'd leave the park wishing I'd never attempted it.

Anyway, I'm looking into it and I'll let you know how I get on.

Abby is asleep right now...  But for how long?  Now would be a good time to research college...

What a great idea!

Rarely leave the house?? How do you do it with 2??? One full day in the house and I almost go mad! Seriously though, I know me being able to put them in the car and go wherever will be short lived as the baby gets a bit older and onto a nap schedule and it's had me wondering what I'm going to do with Cooper all day at home.
You must be really creative .

Well, Sherri, you see, I don't drive. Yet! At 33, it's finally time to get started on that. Why, oh why, have I left it so long?! Now I have two kids and can't even get them to the doctor's or the park without help from my husband.
To anyone out there reading this: if you are of age to have a driver's license, do it!!!! Now! Don't put it off.
