It's Jake's second birthday today. As you can imagine, he is completely oblivious to the meaning of today. For the last time, he isn't expecting any gifts or fuss over the day. Next year, I'm sure, will be a whole new kettle of fish!

(30.3.06 15:00) Thank you all. I'll pass on the well wishes to the boy! Ref - Nice to see you back. Your blog's been sorely neglected, me thinks. As I wrote the entry about Jake's birthday, it struck me just how long I've had this blog. Quite amazing. It's definitely the longest I've ever stuck at anything like this. I always wanted to keep a diary but hated writing. Oh well. Jake 2? Yes, I'd like that. VERY much, in fact. We'll be working on that soon. Life is indeed treating us well. And I hope the same for you and the missus. Any mini-refs on the way yet??? |

Barefoot Dreams / Website (4.4.06 05:37) Happy Birthday, Jake! My little boy's third is coming up next month, and yes, this time around it will be a brand new day. He now loves to get presents and loves parties, and of course he loves to the attention. The second yera of life is nothing sgort of miraculous when it comes to a child's mental and emotional development. I hope you enjoy this year in Jake's life as much as I've enjoyed my son's. (Forget all the 'terrible twos' nonsense--except for his sometimes vociferous desire for independence and power that's really quite wonderful--it was a lovely year!) |
