Nearly 2
Jake is almost 2... I can't believe it! The time has flown by. And he's grown into such a beautiful little boy, with the most charming personality and gorgeous blue eyes. He's a happy and giggly boy and I love him to bits.
His 2nd birthday is a mere 9 days away. We're not sure what we'll do for it although I'm sure it'll involve inviting the family over to coo over him and bring him big, noisy gifts. As he is the first biological grandchild (Stephen daughters are grandchildren too!), he has been spoiled rotten by my Mum especially. Almost every time she sees him, she's got another little gift for him. Lucky kid!
Grand Prix season has started with the Malaysian race taking place yesterday (and the Bahrain race the previous weekend). Britain's Jenson Button got a podium position, finishing 3rd. He and Schumacher are now tied for 2nd place in the championship. And I'm pleased to say that Canada's Jacques Villeneuve finished 7th, bringing in 2 points. I don't watch the races as avidly as I used to, but I do like to know where "my guys" came in.
And, apparently, it's the first day of Spring. Doesn't feel like it though. It was -7C this morning and -3C this afternoon. It felt colder than that. I'll look forward to the real Spring's arrival!
And finally, here's Jake, after having finished his favorite food... cucumber. Strange, huh? He loves it. This cucumber was full of seeds though and he was covered in them. Stuck to his bib, his highchair, his face. I'd taken most of them off before I took this photo though:

(23.3.06 02:37) Thanks muchly, guys. Cuter and cuter he is! Berry - F1? Well, I used to be a BIG fan, but since having Jake, I've found that my responsibilities lie elsewhere. So F1 has lost it's manic appeal for me. Also, I started losing interest when Michael Schumacher dominated the gagillionth race in a row, leaving the rest of the pack scrambling for scraps. It got boring. But, a new season has started and I feel a bit more into it. We'll see. F1 is, though, the reason Stephen and I met. I'll have to blog about that some time... if I haven't already! |
