I hate winter
Winter has arrived in full force. Unfortunately, it has appeared a lot earlier than in previous years. Last year, for instance, we had a green Christmas (one without snow). We were into January before the snow fell and the temperature dropped enough for it to stay.
But, starting a week ago, the snow fell and, to my dismay, it stayed. And you know what? It has hardly stopped since then. It seems like every time I look out the window, the sky is filled with flurries. You can see it especially well at night, like now, when you look up at the street lights.
Pretty it may be, but it's also a huge pain in the ass.
Stephen and I have had to shovel the car out twice so far and I've had to scale a massive snow bank to get to work. By the time I got there, my boots had snow in them, my jeans were wet and I was all sweaty.
I hate winter.

Christina / Website (5.12.07 03:48) Until you don't get it anymore. I miss winter. Not ever seeing snow all year long is kinda sad. Christmas is ODD when it's 40 degrees outside and it simply doesn't feel like the holidays. You may have to shovel lots but I have to vaccuum out my car almost daily. The dog unfortunately, doesn't care if his paws are sandy when we leave the beach. We all have our gripes I suppose.... |

Paul (10.2.08 17:18) Winter here is too cold and it's 6 or 7 months long. It's been -28c to -44c and then there's wind... gusting to 70ph...so it feels like -55+. Exposed skin freezes in one minute or less. It's painful to go outside..it's dangerous. The doorknob get's frost on the inside. Regular tires won't work. Cars need to be plugged in.. so they'll start (the oil in the oilpan gets too heavy to start the car.. not lard... but close. In the end.. you become a prisoner in your home. People say.. yeah... but summer is nice. I say... what the heck am I doing here... Only 2 months to go.. BBBBrrrr. |

Nicola / Website (11.2.08 02:20) Paul, Two months to go? Your email address is Sasktel so I assume that you are in Saskatchewan. Correct? What brought you there and where will you go in 2 months? |
