Sleep Deprivation, Terrible 2's, Tingly Tips
Our little Abby-girl (my nickname for her) doesn't sleep very well at night. She's a very windy baby, with a tight and bloated tummy. One might describe her as colicky. We feel so bad for her when she pulls her legs up and wails her head off. Of course, we do everything we can to help relieve her discomfort.
But not to worry, the little angel plays catch-up with her sleep during the day. Stephen and I cannot though, as Jake is up and wreaking havoc.
And wreak havoc he does! The Terrible Twos are still in full swing. He pulls things off tabletops. He throws food on the floor and refuses to stay in his chair. He makes the biggest mess he can, with toys, food and things that belong to others. Our house is a toddler proof as it can be without us getting rid of everything!
The boy giggles when he's told 'NO!'. Grrr...
And I'm now suffering with tingling and numbness in the tips of my index and middle finger on my left hand. This apparently suggests a pinched nerve of some kind, likely in my wrist or possibly in my neck. Something along the lines of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I'm not in great discomfort at the moment, but it is annoying.

Cheap Date
Today, Abby is one month old. Happy Birthday, Abby-girl!
Today, we finally put up the Christmas tree (delayed because we had almost decided not to put it up because of the likelihood of Jake yanking it over).
Today, I'm having a beer, a full bottle of beer, all to myself. This hasn't happened since I got pregnant. It's gooooooood...
Today, I cried. I'm really tired. Very little sleep is catching up with me. My mood shows it.
Today, I'll wait for Jake to go to bed and I'll head out to do some Christmas shopping for Stephen. Wal-Mart is open 24/7 right now!
And finally...
I've consumed the whole beer in the process of typing this entry and I can feel it in my head. I'd be a cheap date now!
